The glamorous Russian turner long bruited to be Vladimir Putin’s doxy is facing warrants from the European Union over the brutal irruption of Ukraine.
Alina Kabaeva is included in the sixth proposed package of warrants being batted by the 27- nation institute, according to a document attained by Agence France-Presse.
Still, the warrants would indurate Kabaeva’s means in Europe and ban her from entry to the EU, If passed.
The Olympic gold order- winning turner- turned- media Napoleon is reported to have four children with the Russian tyrannizer — 7- time-old binary daughters and two sons — but the two have noway officially verified any relationship.
Kabaeva is said to be living with her children in Switzerland, which isn’t an EU member.
Still, the famously neutral nation has matched former EU warrants against Russian elites.
Putin, 69, and Kabaeva, 38, have been linked since at least 2008, with the Russian leader denying media reports at the time that the two were romantically involved.
That time, Russian review Moskovsky Korrespondent reported that Putin had disassociated his woman, Lyudmila, and was set to marry Kabaeva. The story was incontinently denied by the Kremlin and the review was shut down.
The warrants package also includes a ban on the import of Russian canvas to the EU, a provision that has raised the wrath of member countries Slovakia and Hungary.
By the EU’s rules, the warrants package must pass unanimously.
Kabaeva is one of the most decorated athletes in metrical gymnastic history, with two Olympic orders, 14 World Championship orders and 21 European Championship orders.
In 2011, she appeared on the cover of Vogue Russia.
The draft warrants offer identifies Kabaeva as the president of Russia’s National Media Group, a holding company that owns significant portions of Russian state media. Kabaeva reportedly draws a$ 10 million payment for her part with the establishment.
Kabaeva and Putin reportedly met when she was a youthful turner, who won multiple orders domestically, at European competitions and at the Olympic Games. She was awarded the gold order for metrical slimnastics at the Athens Games in 2004.
Extensively known in her home country, she was chosen as one of the arsonist liaisons when Russia hosted the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia in 2014, an event that took place shortly before Russia immorally adjoined Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula.
Kabaeva has made public statements in support of the Russian service since the launch of the war in Ukraine, most lately calling on Russian citizens to rally behind the war trouble.
At a recent slimnastics event, she said”Every family has a history of war, and we should not forget about it. We should hand it over from generation to generation.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, US officers say she and her family have come fat due to her propinquity to Putin, though the Kremlin continues to deny any relationship between the two. The US Treasury department has refused to note on the case.
Anyhow of her factual relationship with the Russian President, if her name does appear on the final list of EU warrants, Kabaeva– still fairly unknown outside Russia– and her finances will come under huge transnational scrutiny.
